Sommerlaboratorium – Wochenende für SchauspielerInnen, RegisseurInnen und TheaterpädagogInnen

Das Sommerlaboratorium eröffnet den TeilnehmerInnen die Möglichkeit, ihre persönliche Form von experimenteller Szenenarbeit zu entwickeln: auf welche Basis und in welcher Balance zwischen Experiment und Tradition soll sie sich bewegen?

In der aktuellen Umbruchszeit tauchen viele Fragen auf - auch an die Bühnenkunst. Sie betreffen die Ästhetik ihrer Ausdrucksformen, die Methoden der künstlerischen Produktion wie auch die favorisierte Schauspieltechnik selbst. Dabei ist heute das künstlerische Experiment die prägende Herangehensweise an szenische Arbeit, besonders sichtbar bei den Formen des postdramatischen Theaters und den „Performing Arts“. Aber auch im dramatischen und narrativen Theater steht die experimentelle Auseinandersetzung mit dem Text schon lange hoch im Kurs.
Alle, sowohl ältere als auch neuere Formen, existieren heute gleichzeitig. Zeitgenössischen TheaterkünstlerInnen eröffnet das viele Möglichkeiten zum Experiment, um die individuellen Ausdrucksformen zu definieren und die passenden methodischen Mittel für die Umsetzung zu finden.

Bei aller künstlerischen Aufbruchsstimmung und Zukunftsorientiertheit besteht nämlich auch die Frage, was von den über lange Zeit entwickelten traditionellen und avantgardistischen Methoden der Szenenarbeit aus Zeiten des dramatischen und narrativen Theaters - von Shakespeare und Brecht, von Stanisawski und Grotowski – und ebenso von Training, von Textanalyse, von Improvisation, von Komposition, von Regie und Ensemblearbeit sinnvollerweise mit in die Zukunft genommen werden sollte?

Praktisch arbeiten sich die TeilnehmerInnen im Workshop an das Thema und an die künstlerischen Fragestellungen anhand von berühmten „Theater auf dem Theater“ - Szenen von Shakespeare, Cechov und Pirandello heran. Denn das Drama oder Postdrama oder Postpostdrama ist in diesem Fall die Beziehung der TheaterkünstlerInnen zum Theater selbst.

Das Sommerlaboratorium ist besonders geeignet für TeilnehmerInnen mit Spielerfahrung. Es wird sowohl praktisch als auch (etwas) theoretisch gearbeitet. Bitte bequeme Kleidung mitbringen.

Was gehört dazu, eine stimmige Komödienszene darzustellen, was zeichnet ein lebendiges Spiel in dieser Kunstform aus?
Am Beispiel von ausgewählten Szenen aus klassischen und modernen Komödien von Moliere und Alan Ayckbourn werden Zugänge zu den Szenen, Situationen, Figuren und Dialogen vermittelt sowie gemeinsam szenische Umsetzungsmöglich- keiten auf der Bühne entwickelt.
Der Workshop ist ausgelegt für Schauspielerinnen und Schauspieler, Regisseurinnen und Regisseure – auch solche, die es werden wollen - mit Lebenserfahrung.

• Schauspielhandwerk und Rollenarbeit in der Komödie
• die Situation, Ort, Zeit und Atmosphäre der Szene
• Konflikte und Ereignisse als ‚Motoren’ der Szene
• die physischen Handlungen der Figuren auf der Bühne
• Tempo, Rhythmus und Timing
• der gute Kontakt und die Reaktionsfähigkeit der Darsteller auf
der Bühne

Spielfreude und Mut, etwas Neues zu probieren, sollten mitge- bracht werden, ebenso bequeme Kleidung.

• Improvisation: Energie und innere Freiheit auf der Bühne
• Monolog- und Szenenarbeit: Skizzen, Übungen und vertiefende Szenenarbeit  mit Texten wechselnder Theaterautoren.Derzeit Arbeit mit Szenen aus: "Endstation Sehnsucht" von Tennessee Williams.

Ideen Werkstatt

• vertiefende Szenenarbeit oder Entwicklung von Theaterprojekten und Produktionsteams. Arbeit an einem Projekt pro Abend.

What is Cosmonauti
It is an international touring festival whose goal is the sharing of artistic research.
Amongst Cosmonauts you can show and develop works that are underway, you
can exchange approaches, techniques and methods and check if it works, you can
share freely what you can and want (ideas, materials, dreams, ideas, tangible objects
and intangible objects, information). The aim is also to be among artists from across
Europe to develop a network of research, artistic and human-vice.

Who are the Cosmonauti
Conventionally a cosmonaut is an astronaut from the Russian Space Agency, or from
one of the ex-USSR countries.
“Cosmonaut” derives from Russian (kosmonavt) that again derives from greek kosmos
(universe) and nautes (navigator). In the USA, “astronaut” is applied to a person that has
just started his training, while in Russia one is not a “cosmonaut” till one has completed
a space-flight successfully.
The Cosmonauti-founders made their first flights, or maybe just their more significant
flights in the Cosmos Theatre, trained with Russian masters and Russian methods
 – methods invented and developed by Konstantin Stanislavsky, Vsevolod Meyerhold,
Maria Knebel, Michael Chekhov, Anatoli Vasilev, Jurij Alschitz, Nicolai Karpov, Vasily
Skorik... and the Cosmonautes. They then became more numerous and well-trained
Cosmonauts joined also from non-russian masters.
Even from their earliest encounters, however, the cosmonauts have wanted to meet all
other NAUTI of the Cosmo Theatre to exchange research results and images from their
voyages. Although the cosmonauts have been trained very hard, although we have passed
grueling trainig sessions by the most demanding methods (emotionally, physically and philosophically) we have managed not to lose a providential selfirony regarding each
type of method or school of theater. They do their festival to put themselves back in the
game and to pull off what they have learned so far and confront it with the unknown.
Until 2009 Cosmonauti has hosted almost exclusively theater and performance. Since
2009, however, thanks to the contribution of the dance-company Vera Stasi, dance has
joined. From 2012 we also included music. So the next edition will be open to all those
operators, artists who are interested in the specific orientation of Cosmonauti and are
active in fields of theater, performance, dance, dance, music .... Finally, all the perfor-
ming arts.

What is the specific orientation of Cosmonauts
Our aim is to test and develop together on the concept of action, considering it runs
through all these arts and using it as a basis on which to link the works produced by
different tools and languages.

Venue for Cosmonauti 2013
We are hosted by the Dance Company Vera Stasi in the magic Supercinema, in the
historical center of Tuscania, 100 km from Rome. The Supercinema was built in 1928,
for over fifty years the beating heart of the city center, closed in the mid 80s for about
a decade, then reactivated in 1997 and transformed into a place of creation and event
venue for theater, music, dance.Vera Stasi, founded in Rome in 1985, is one of the
protagonists of a research companies for the "historic" renewal of the Italian contemporary
dance in the '80s. Throughout its existence, Vera Stasi has gradually experienced its
potential structure and transformed its identity from a collective workshop to a group of
authors, from an esclusively productive structure to one of cultural projectplanning.
The Company is currently directed by Silvana Barbarini, produces experimental
choreographic works, supports young artists and organizes intensive workshops in
